Witnesses sought after woman, 63, crashes car into power pole in Garden Grove and dies

A woman was killed Thursday when her car slammed into a power pole in Garden Grove.

GGPD officers were called to Dale Street, just north of Chapman Avenue, at 2:37 p.m. on Oct. 6 to the single-vehicle traffic collision.

They and personnel from the Garden Grove Fire Department found the car on the east side of Dale Street.

An investigation determined the driver, for unknown reasons, continued north into the power pole after her right side mirror hit a parked vehicle on the east curb line.

She was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange where she later was pronounced dead.
