A woman was shot to death in front of a Garden Grove residence late Wednesday, and police are looking for a suspect.
The victim was identified by the GGPD on Thursday afternoon as Kellie Louise Nichol, 31, of Trabuco Canyon.
The shooting occurred at 11:17 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 13500 block of Purdy Street, the GGPD said in a news release.
Officers responded to find Nichol wounded in front of the house. They immediately started life-saving efforts and later were assisted by OCFA paramedics, but Nichol died.
Police describe the suspect as a male Hispanic, 25-30, with a medium build.
Officers and detectives interviewed several witnesses at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
