Anaheim residents: That gun you may own but no longer want can be disposed of lawfully and net you a cool $100 in the form of a gift card to Wal-Mart, Target or Kohl’s, no questions asked.

The Anaheim PD on Saturday, Aug. 8 will hold its annual Gun Buy Back event between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at La Palma Park, 1151 N. Anaheim Blvd.

No identification is required.

The APD is asking anyone who wants to turn in a firearm to come to the north side of La Palma Park, off La Palma Parkway, from N. Anaheim Boulevard.

Officers will be on hand to direct you.

Be sure to legally and safely transport your gun or guns by securing them and unloading them and, ideally, placing them in the trunk, the APD says.

The limit is five gift cards per person.
