Fullerton police credited a witness today for helping them catch four men involved in a hit and run and burglarizing a drug store.
Dispatchers received the call about the car accident near Wilshire Boulevard and Marwood Avenue about 4:30 p.m. Friday.
The caller said several men were running from the car, with one possibly armed with a gun.
Police caught and arrested the men, and later learned they had burglarized a drug store on Euclid Street and Chapman Avenue.
“This is another example of the important role the community can play in helping us solve crime,” said Sgt. Jeff Stuart. “Whenever you see criminal activity, call us immediately and try to provide as detailed a description as you can.”
