K-9 officers are a crucial tool for police departments when searching for dope or bad guys. They also are fixtures at community events, where they delight those who get to see them in action or who simply want to pet them.

In a video, @BTB_OC law enforcement consultant Ross Nemeroff provides a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into training police dogs, shattering some misconceptions about them: namely, that all police dogs are mean.

Not so, as this video featuring K-9 handlers with the Fullerton and Fountain Valley police departments shows.

In the video, you will meet Blitz and Mueller and Rotar from the Fullerton PD (Rotar was named after the Fullerton South Rotary Club, which provided funding for his training; Mueller was named for the family that paid for him), as well as Perro and Figo from the Fountain Valley PD.
